I use a third party app, MailChimp to store my mailing list data and to deliver my newsletters. I have access to statistics such as email openings and clicks using industry standards technologies, to help me monitor how the emails are received. For more information, see MailChimp’s privacy policy.

2. When do we collect your personal data?

I collect personal data on this Website only if it is directly provided by you the user, e.g. your e-mail address, name, home or work address and telephone number, and therefore has been provided by you with your consent. Normally you will only provide such details if you wish to sign up for a free e-newsletter, request further information on my photography sessions or wedding packages or request to receive the free PDF downloads that are available for i.e. photography tips.

3. How do we use your personal data?

We may hold and process personal data that you provide to us in accordance with the DPA and GDPR.

The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide our services to you, and to meet our contractual commitments to you. In addition, we may use the information for the following purposes:

Security of your personal data – I take the security of your personal data very seriously. I use MailChimp to store all my data and only I have access to the password to access my account.

Retention of your personal data – I will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This means that the retention periods will vary according to the type of the data and the reason that I have the data in the first place.

7. Comments and User Content Posted to the Website

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
