Family Day in the Life Photographer | Holly, Stephen, Harriet & Leo
I met Holly at a baby fair a few years ago now. Where that time has gone, I just don’t know! I love meeting fellow Mumpreneurs, sharing stories of the “struggle,” mum-guilt, wife-guilt, dreams, aspirations and how we’re actually in LOVE with being our own Girl-Boss!
Holly is the face behind For Mama and Baba, a fab online children’s store, specialising in beautifully curated gifts and teething jewellery. When I first met Holly, my Harry had already gone through the hideousness of teething, so I never got to sport the many styles available, and I was a little jealous and didn’t think I could rock the silicone accessory alone – so the moment I found out I was pregnant with Lily, I stocked up on my teething bracelets and necklaces! I love them.
I was honoured to help Holly with a shoot for her website – we had a great morning meeting some Yummy Mummys and shooting their baba’s interacting with the teething jewellery, and Holly then said she’d love me to do a Day in the Life (Unscripted Session) for her family. Holly has the most gorgeous twins. The jackpot of twins too – a boy and a girl. Beautiful Harriet and the dashing Leo. As a documentary photographer, when you hear the word twins, you find it very hard to not get excited. There’s something just so magical about shooting twins.
And they didn’t let me down. Check out the video above. I mean – Harriet. From the moment I pressed the shutter. Cuteness overload.
I spent a lovely morning with Holly and her family – her parents and sisters were also visiting. We just spent a little time chilling at home before heading over to Jarrow Hall. If you haven’t been, it’s a fab little centre with the lushest of coffee shops – the vegan cakes are literally to DIE for – probably because of the copious amounts of sugar that must be used, but seriously – to DIE for!
Thank you for having me Holly. Your family are simply lovely – I loved Harriet and Leo, they were just the cutest and I loved their dynamic. How you juggle your business, renovating that gorgeous home (including woodworm), and twins is beyond me. Some women are simply born to be SUPER!
This weekend (March 30), Holly is organising the first BORN Parenting fair at the Trinity Church in Gosforth. If you’re a parent or parent-to-be, this is the event for you! And I”m going to be there. I’ll be showcasing some of my family photos and films, so if you have thought about an Unscripted Session but perhaps have some questions, I’d love to see you. xx
Oh and shhh . . . don’t tell anyone. But I might be putting something special in 25 goody bags that will go to the first 25 people through the doors!
