I just loved shooting Amy and Kurran’s wedding at Yorkshire Wedding Barns. It was a friggin’ scorcher of a day. I mean – roasting. And in that stunning location, you had to pinch yourself to think you were in Yorkshire and not some idyllic spot in the south of France.
Making a weekend of it
Amy and Kurran had made a weekend of the event. And because of this, guests and the day could be so chilled. Most guest were staying on site from the Friday to the Tuesday. Enjoying meals and BBQs together either side of the BigDay so it took the pressure off Amy and Kurran to “get around” everyone on the day. So many of my couples are doing this, it does take the stress away.
‘Its all in the details’
Amy had gone to town with all the details for the day from gifts for her girls, to Kleenex on the seats for the ceremony, and the barn for the wedding breakfast looked bloody gorgeous. Added to that Kurran’s mum surprised them with some full on Bhangra beats – it made for an epic party.
