Evergreen Tattoo Studio
I met Faye a few years back when I shot the day she married the lovely Jonny (check out their lush wedding >>>here<<<. When I met Faye I fell in love with her approach to tattoo art. I never, ever fancied the idea of a Tattoo until I saw her approach. Handpoked Tattoos. I always found tattoos a bit too masculine, but bringing her style, her art through into her work, she creates something simply beautiful – you can’t not want it on your skin.
Of course, Faye’s success went from strength to strength and then in 2019 she opened up her own studio: Evergreen Studios in the perfectly cool Ouseburn in Newcastle. I was genuinely, excitedly chuffed for her. The studio is simply perfect. It’s chilled, it’s mellow, it’s feminine friendly without being girly – butch men will also feel comfortable.
To celebrate the year anniversary of the studio’s opening, Faye commissioned me to create an Instagram video and some head-turning content for their new website and social media.
We concentrated on shooting behind the scenes imagery, the artists at work, a few team shots, studio shots, and some details.
Very quickly after the shoot, Lockdown from the damn virus came, but Faye commented recently that the images and content we created helped to steer her through the lockdown and kept her feed fresh despite the lack of actual work – which to me, made the work we created priceless.
