When Kay and Matt first got in touch about their wedding and they told me about the festival vibes, camping, mosh pits and pizza vans, I was so excited for their wedding at Camerton Community Hall near Bath.
It was another scorcher of a day, another wedding sans COVID restrictions, and people were ready to party and mingle. Kay and Matt had also been super conscious that some people may find the whole “being back out there” situation a bit daunting, so still in keeping with the festival theme, they offered their guest wrist bands to highlight if they were fully-vaxed huggers, semi-huggers or a little bit more nervous still. Such a lush idea.
Festival flags flying, the sky as blue as they come, the DIY marquee full to brim with the most colourful flowers and more board games than you can shake a Hogwarts wand at, set the scene for a fun-filled day and the most down to earth guests. It was only topped by the mosh pit style first dance and super emotional speeches.
2021 was proving to be an epic year for electric weddings…..
