For mums of toddlers, school holidays always pose the problem of where to take your little ones where they won’t get trampled on by burly six-year olds.
This February half term, we discovered Little Town in [Chapel House near] Newcastle.
Little Town is as it says on the tin, a little town. Featuring a beauty salon, shop, police station, post office and more. The owners have created a complete world of make-believe for little people where they get to run the show.
Not only have the owners created this world beautifully, I love the fact that they limit the number of children, so even though it was half term, our little ones still managed to play with all the toys.
There are free lockers for all of your belongings, soooo handy when you have the world’s biggest handbag, and to my surprise a cafe (a real one, not one run by the children) serving cakes from the lovely Pudding Parlour.
Sessions last 90 minutes for just £5. You book online via their website so you know you’re guaranteed a slot.
All of the mummys agreed it was a great morning out with the sprogs and we all wished we’d thought of that!
So, next time you’re at loose end, be sure to check out Little town. Here are a few pics of our playtime . . .
