As families become more time poor, and the children have busier social lives than their parents, the family holiday is becoming more and more important. In fact, we put ourselves under so much pressure to make it the perfect annual event, and yet, we come away with either a batch of jpegs that just sit on a hard drive festering for years or some seriously questionable selfies.
The reality is, more and more people are choosing to hire a professional photographer to capture their family holidays and events. So many of us these days don’t even own a camera, and whilst our cameraphones have really improved, they really can’t match up to a professional collection of images. Besides, it’s much easier to brag about your holiday when it looks as good as it sounds when you tell your friends about it.

Remember those films your Dad used to take, full of pans from left to right of one sunset after another. And then all the shaking out the car window shots and the kids screaming in the back. Then oops – black screen as the camera was on record with the cover on. Then oops again, who’s flip flop is that – who dropped the camera?
