Last year, I can’t believe it was last year already, I ran a competition through The Dad Network to win an Unscripted session.  And I was delighted when I found out that the family who won, lived in the gorgeous city of Lincoln and had TWINS!!!!

I had always wanted to capture a day in the life with twins.  Especially almost 2 year old twins.  I knew that the mischief they could get up to would be pure gold and they didn’t disappoint.  From the moment I walked in their home, I just loved how these two little munchkins, Oliver and Toby, were climbing everywhere.  They were awesome.

Add to that, Dad Rob, was a Stay at home Dad.  There are not many men who would do that, I’m sure.  Some Dads would possibly be ok looking after the one, but this amazing guy took on two!  As my little man is saying at the moment, Top Banana to you sir!  On top of that, Rob is also a fellow photographer – specialising pet photography – something that also requires unquantifiable amounts of patience.

Rob’s wife Rose is a lady to be admired also, not only juggling home life and having twin boys, but she’s a maths teacher. Which is no easy task by itself.

And then, as if there could be more, to top it all off, they had Conrad, the most gorgeous, perfectly trained, German shepherd.  He was frankly gorgeous.

We enjoyed an honest, ordinary morning together.  I arrived at 10am and met the boys and Conrad, as we waited for Mum Rose to come home from work (she’d been offering extra tuition to students if my memory is right – more top bananas!)  We then corralled everyone into the car and headed to the park for a walk and play, before heading home for a spot of lunch and my favourite – nap time.

I don’t do many posed shots during my Unscripted Sessions as they are supposed to be documentary, but Rob had requested one particular shot that he had been unable to achieve himself with this boys – which I was of course more than happy to oblige.  See if you can spot which one!

I’d just like to thank you all for letting me into your world.  Oliver and Toby are getting on for 3 now – I bet the adventures and mischief are almost non-stop!  But I’m sure you wouldn’t have it any other way.  xx
