Family Photography Sessions Revisited – The Kariolis Family

As part of my now 6 years in business, I’m  continuing a journey of looking back at some of my family photography sessions. To be honest, they are my favourite as I get to capture those special and not so special family moments. A lot of people ask me ‘but what will we do at the photo session? And the answer is ‘nothing’, I’m there to capture your everyday’, whether it’s your youngest helping to do the washing up or reading a book or simply a game of footie in the garden, its your everyday and I love doing these sessions AND I love to hear back from these families and find out what these sessions meant to them and now, 6 years on.

‘Where do I start with praise for Claire?’ – Sally from the Kariolis Family

Sally’s Experience – in her own words – Family Session

‘It has always been apparent, even from when she first started the business, that Claire has an unprecedented talent for capturing the beauty of family life in her images. The Motherhood session really documented how the everyday routines can encapsulate the love and bond between a mother and child. As a mother the days are often long and not always easy, but the years are short. Before you know it they will be all grown up!

We loved everything about the session, how Claire made us feel so at ease and how she could create such beautiful images even of us doing the hoovering!

Everytime we watch the video or look at the photos it makes us really grateful to have them. We truly cherish those little memories caught on camera!

It’s hard to pick my favourite images but I’ll give a few examples:-

The cheeky look on Bella’s face as I try to brush her teeth.
The laughter when she would try to copy me and put her “lips on”.
The giggles that the air from the hoover would create.

I’ve added a few more images, for no other reason than I just love them, as they are simply beautiful.

Thanks again Claire, it’s no surprise that your business has gone from strength to strength and is such a success. You continue to perfectly capture life’s precious moments and create images that will be cherished for generations to come.

Sally’s Experience – in her own words – Mother’s Day Session

Then fast forward 6 years and I’ve just received the gallery from the Mother’s Day Session we had two immediate reactions. The first being a huge WOW!!!!!!!! The second being how much our little girl has grown up since Claire last took her photo! Time is going way too fast!!!!
Every single image is just amazing! Claire is just so unbelievably talented. Her ability to capture personality and the beauty of the moment is just awe inspiring. Bella was able to just be relaxed with Claire, no stiff poses or forced smiles, just be herself. These are the photos that we want to proudly hang on our wall. The images that will forever evoke happy memories and big smiles. The only dilemma we have is which ones do we choose to frame as we love them all soooo much! It also makes us realise that we need to book a family session with Claire sometime very soon, before we know it our little girl will be all grown up!
We can’t thank you enough Claire for all the gorgeous images you have captured over the years, and we look forward to all those yet to be taken.

Family Photography Sessions Revisited – The Kariolis Family

‘Ah Sally, I’m TRULY honoured that I could preserve those memories for you…..Bella with the hoover will forever be one of my favourites.  And you two doing your make up together! The fact you looked so glamorous at 8am in the morning even when you had that horrendous migraine – you were amazing.’

And yes Sally, in a flash, we’re 6 years on and to see how much Bella has changed is just gorgeous. I feel like I’ve been on that journey with you…but it also makes you realise that those years are brief and so precious, so I’m pleased you’ve got those memories captured, it was a pleasure to do that for you.

If you want to capture your family, just exactly as they are right now, the good moments, the great moments and the ‘make you laugh out loud’ moments – get in touch.
